Dog Sign

My World....

Here is my world at 9 months old...

• I sit up on my own. No pillows needed



• Every morning I greet Mommy eye to eye! I roll over on my tummy in my crib so I am always looking at her when she walks in. She had to lower my mattress last night!



• I talk all the time. I now say dada, mama, gaga and Edna.. what? She is my friend!

• I copy Mom and Dad...when they shake their head back and forth...I do the same.

• The dogs (Maddy and Allie) and cat (Lily) are my best friend. I do the sign for dog whenever I see them. I think Lily is a small dog...I do the dog sign for her too! They make me laugh when they run around, or shake, or sniff me...really when they do anything I laugh really hard!!

• I smile when Mom talks to me in the car. She can see me in the mirror :)

• Yummy...I love cheerios and water! I can put cheerios in my mouth and drink water from my sippy cup (with help from Mommy)
• I like talking on the phone to Nana and visiting with Dee Dee when Mom and Dad go out.

• Currently, I have discovered that I can pull my PJ sleeve and make my hand disappear. It kept be busy for a good 10 minutes this morning! Good times!

• I am the oldest kid in Yoga! This makes Mommy kind of sad.

• Crawling has not happened yet but I get up on my knees and rock back and forth. I am really happy just sitting and playing with my toys...I am low maintenance like that

Well that is a glimpse of my world at 9 months old...

Retro playdates

I Love the 80's! Olivia wore her retro outfit to her first playgroup. I think the leggings are very retro. Not sure if you can tell but they have neon flowers with polka dots...how Cute! Anyway, we joined an infants playgroup and this was our first play date. The age range today was 4 months to 9 months. It was a lot of fun to see all of them together. They are all so cute!

Here are some pictures of Olivia playing solo at our house. We will host the playgroup sometime soon at our house and all the babies can enjoy Olivia's toys :)

9 Months Old

I can't believe that Olivia is 9 months old today!

We went to the Doctor today and we received an excellent report.

Here are the stats:
Weight: 20 pounds 13.5 ounces (75-90 precentile)
Height: 26 1/2 inches (10-25 percentile)
Head Circumfrence: 45 cm. (75 precentile)

Snowy Conditions

We woke up this morning to snow on the ground! Well...actually it is more like snow on the roads, deck and mulch around the trees with a dusting on the ground. Believe it or not the area to the east of us (towards the coast) was supposed to get more snow than us!

Poor Will is still trying to get to work. This is a 8 mile drive that usually takes 10 minutes...and he is on 2 hours!! He is on the 3rd route to try and get to work. Beneath the snow on the road is a nice layer of black ice...and we all know that isn't a good thing! The big problem here is that people take their rear wheel drive cars out in this weather and try to drive. It doesn't work and they end up in a ditch or blocking the road and then you have to turn around and try another way.

Olivia and I are warm and cozy in the house. Olivia is still in her PJ's and is getting ready for a morning nap...doesn't that sound nice? We will be staying put today. Sounds like a good day to make some cookies...maybe my baking assistant will be willing to help again!

Muffins + PJ's = Blueberry headwrap

Mommy and Me baked some muffins this morning. Of course I was happy to help! Mom made me wear a bandanna to keep my hair out of my face and out of the muffin mix. We were baking for our new neighbor...Drew (born Friday, 1/16/09) and family.
