Her dogs

Olivia is forming a friendship with her doggies. I can't wait to see how they react when she can crawl, and pull their hair! I am sure they can't wait for her to start eating cheerios. I can see it now, one for me, one for the dogs, one for me, one for the dogs...they may become overweight!Olivia: Maddy, please don't lick my face!

Olivia: Allie, look at my toes...they could use some licking.

Olivia: Stick with me kid :)
Maddy: Maybe we can both nap together and the camera will go away.

Foot Rest

Olivia has discovered that Maddy makes a great foot rest! While she was on her play mat, I looked over and noticed she was kicking Maddy and resting her feet on her back. Maddy just laid there and let her do what she wanted...what a good girl!!

Our dogs have adjusted to Olivia being here so well! I have been really surprised how great they have both been. I think they are secretly looking forward to her eating foods like cheerios and crackers...so they can be her "clean up crew". This may be their true calling.

Last night I caught Allie not being such a good dog. She was on the couch eating the pepperoni off my plate! She was caught red handed! I corrected her and hopefully (emphasis on the word hopefully) she will think twice before doing that again. Guess it is a hard thing to resist.

Olivia got to spend some quality time with Maddy over the weekend! The dogs have adjusted so well to her arrival, it has been great. They are the opposite of what I expected. Allie (our lab) has always been "my dog" and she would follow me everywhere. We thought she would be the most interested in Olivia and would continue to be by my side. Well, that has changed and Maddy is the one who is very interested in Olivia and will follow me around. Allie is now partial to Will and whatever he is doing.

Maddy will follow me around the house with her. I have been trying to have Olivia take some her naps in her crib. She took a nap in the crib and I had the baby monitor on downstairs. Maddy heard her crying and was VERY concerned, she couldn't find her "baby" anywhere! When I went in the nursery to check on her, Maddy ran right in the room to check on her too. I think she really wanted to stay in the room with her!

People always say that the animals will adjust to the arrival of a baby and they truly do. Our girls have been wonderful :)

I think they also like the fact that I am home with them all day.

Do they still have pets?

You may be wondering, where have the dogs gone? Well, they are still here and they are doing very well. They have adjusted to Olivia's arrival and realize that she is here to stay. They both enjoy sniffing her and licking her when they get a chance. I am not sure that she has been able to get a good look at them yet but she definitely hears them greet our guests.

The cat, Lily, has finally joined us again. She has been spending ALL her time upstairs. This week she has started spending time in the living room, I am sure her noises are startling to a kitty cat :)

Dogs, cats and baby...oh my!

The dogs and cat also enjoyed the company this past weekend. They finally had people to play with them. They loved every minute of it! Allie is a lab and loves to play fetch so she took FULL advantage of the extra people who were here to throw her ball.

My animals are all "girls" and love hanging out with the guys. Here is a picture to prove it :)
