Three month pictures

Hey y'all,

I took over the computer this morning to tell you all about my weekend. We got to hang out with my Daddy's friend on Friday...he said I was very cute but was nervous to hold me. I am still kind of small but I like to wiggle around a lot! On Saturday we got to hang out with the neighbors. I must be pretty popular because everyone wanted to hold me and the other kids kept petting my head. I think the little kids thought I was a puppy!

I still LOVE to suck my thumb. Mama thinks I might find a security blanket too. When I suck my thumb I like to pull my dress up and hold it kind of like a blankie. Hey, at least I am able to keep myself entertained! Mama woke up this morning and couldn't believe how much I was talking. I will talk to myself for about an hour before I will start crying for someone to come get me...I get kind of get tired that no one is responding to my babble so I call out for Mom and Dad. I also LOVE to smile at Mom and Dad. They always smile back at me, it is such a fun game.

Me and my girl

Olivia is on the verge of laughing. She gave me a few giggles last night and now it is my mission to make it happen again. She must think I am nuts! I just love to see her smile and hear the little laughs. Right now she is sitting in her bouncy chair with a full belly.

Addicted

I am officially addicted to John and Kate Plus 8. I love, love, love this show! I don't think Will is very fond of it so I record it and watch it during the day or when he is busy with something else (something like playstation upstairs!). I just love watching their family and how they can manage sextuplets and twins. It makes me feel like I can definitely handle ONE baby since they are able to handle SIX babies!! This is by far the best show on TV. I hope they keep it going for a long, long time.

Anyone else hooked? If you haven't watched it give it a shot, it comes highly recommended.

Happy Apple Part II

Olivia is about 3 months old and Shauna is 6 months old in these pictures. I will have to try and remember to post again when Olivia is 6 months so they are both the same age in the pictures!

Happy Apple

Olivia has her very own Happy Apple! For those that don't know about the Happy Apple, it is a toy that Shauna and I had when we were babies so it is very special...and very old! We managed to find one for Olivia to play with.

Bumbo

Olivia's Dad bought her a new toy yesterday to celebrate her accomplishment of rolling over.

I think we really bought it for our own amusement, she looks so cute in her new little chair. She had us both laughing with her different expressions.

Hey Y'all,

I have some exciting news to report (drum roll please)...I rolled over this morning!!!

I started out like this on my belly. I don't like being on my tummy much so I needed to figure out this rolling over thing fast!! Mom couldn't believe it, She started cheering which made my puppies really excited!

Maddy tried to give me a helpful nudge so I would roll over again! Mom thinks she was really just sniffing my diaper :)

Look out world...crawling will be next!

PS- My pictures seem to make my beautiful eyebrows look like a "unibrow"...let me assure you that I actually have 2 separate eyebrows but the pictures sure don't look like it!

Weekly update

Not much to report on this week. Olivia is continuing to sleep through the night which makes for a happy family each morning. When I walk in her room and say "Good Morning" she smiles at me, it is a great way to start your day!

We are participating in "Mom and Baby" yoga classes...we actually have a class today. Some of the more active babies cause the Moms not have much of a workout but Olivia usually sleeps so I can actually exercise.

The evenings tend to be Olivia's fussy time...but for the most part she isn't too fussy. I think we are going to head to Babies R Us or Target in the next few days to purchase one of these. I think we might opt for Blue, I can only take so much PINK! These chairs are supposed to be good for babies and since she is almost 3 Months old she can use it.

We bought Olivia a play mat a few weeks ago and she enjoys playing with it. I have been putting her on her tummy and she can lift her head up and be on her forearms. I haven't been able to get a picture of this. She doesn't hold the pose for long and then she usually gets mad about being on her tummy...when she is upset she lets you know fast! I will post a picture of her play mat soon, the upload image function isn't working right this moring.

Time for a manicure

Olivia had her nails done this weekend. When she sucks her thumb she can scratch her face so hopefully the manicure will help prevent future injury.

She truly does look just like Will...but maybe, just maybe, she looks a bit like our side of the family :) Regardless she is a cutie...

Radio control to Houston...

Houston, we have a problem...Olivia has found her thumb and there is no letting go!

This might be a developmental milestone but I can sense the trouble ahead when she is 8 years old and still sucking her thumb. Guess Dad should start saving his pennies for future orthodontist appointments! Sorry Daddy

Here is Olivia's viewpoint regarding her thumb:

1. How could something so good be so bad?

2. It gives me more of Mom's attention. She keeps walking over to the Pack N Play and trying to trick me with the pacifier. I think it is funny and just smile at her...and spit out the paci.

3. It is fun to write poems about:

I love my thumb
It tastes like bubble gum

The only thing better would be Rum

But Mom said not till you are twenty-one

So for now I will just keep sucking my thumb

4. What do they expect...Dad has been helping me practice for months!

5. All that thumb sucking makes me tired and I sleep like a ROCK!

Fresh Mountain Air

The fresh mountain air makes everyone sleep better, especially babies!!

Help...

Help, I'm in JAIL! This is what Olivia was thinking in her Pack N Play. Usually she is in the upper portion but we didn't bring that part with us to Burke's Garden so she was in the bottom. I think she kind of liked it because she could watch us through the mesh sides.

Where did my "baby" go??

about 9 days old...not so sure about this swing thing...

10 weeks old and totally loving the swing.

The question is...where did all her hair go?

My little darlin' is a firecracker...

We spent the 4th of July in Burke's Garden, at a BBQ and we had a blast! We listened to live Blue Grass music and enjoyed the food. Olivia loves music and enjoyed listening to the band. Will talked to the guitar player and he even mentioned that he noticed Olivia enjoying the music!
